It took me about 4 minutes, it all depends whether or not other people are using the website to download games (I assume). Just chill out. Put it on before you go to bed or something.
I don't see why we shouldn't get access to a Steam key once the game has reached that point in time. We're contributing to you guys to help support future development, to be honest I think it's the least you could do.
